First National Bank of Chester County

First National Bank of Chester County contracted with Oliver Construction to renovate two complex buildings in order to allow both buildings to “work as one” in a modern sense — and at the same time preserve as many of the historic details and feel of the original space as possible. The resulting space had to reflect the bank’s image, include state-of-the-art technology, and carry forward the existing bank’s presence throughout.

Historic projects are interesting in that you never know what you are going to find in older buildings, once you uncover them. Throughout the demolition process, Xavier Builders raised questions and concerns, acting on the client’s behalf, to assist the FNBCC in making decisions that would not impact their time frame or budget.

Energy management and sustainable products were incorporated throughout the space. This project was not only a great success, but turned into an actual “feat” as summarized so eloquently by the client.

Project Details

This design-build project included demolishing everything to the existing walls, all-custom millwork, doors, frames and fixtures, a multi-tiered ceiling, metallic automotive paint column covers, recessed base throughout, hardwood and granite floors, and curved walls — as part of the complete renovation process.
